Walk in high heels during the 2017 Heels for Words Walk on Saturday, April 15 at OSU-Tulsa to raise money to provide treatment for people with aphasia.
The walk is a fundraiser to benefit Cowboy Aphasia Camp, a weeklong treatment experience each summer for those with the language disorder.
Aphasia limits the ability to understand, speak, read and write in the aftermath of a stroke, brain tumor or other head injury.
The cost to walk is $15 or $30 with a T-shirt order. Event shirts are $25 and must be pre-ordered by April 15. People with aphasia may walk for free.
The event begins at 9 a.m. in Lot A. Registration starts at 8 a.m. For more information, visit Heels for Words.
