Dr. Ken Ede, associate director of the environmental science graduate program and adjunct professor of management, and Dr. Margaret White, professor of management, will lead the faculty and student procession as grand marshals at OSU-Tulsa's graduation ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on May 15 at The Pavilion at Expo Square.
Ede joined OSU in 2008 as assistant dean of engineering. Previously, Ede was environmental health and safety manager for American Airlines in Tulsa for 18 years. As a research scientist, Ede has been awarded grants from the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology and the OSU Technology Business Development Program. His research areas include environmental chemistry, environmental management and industrial environmental sustainability. Ede is the recipient of the 2010 Ted Mills Award for Outstanding Environmental Teaching and the 2002 Metropolitan Environmental Trust’s Recycling Heroes Award.
White joined the faculty at OSU in 1986 as an assistant professor of management. She holds the Fleming Professorship in Technology Management and is the recipient of several teaching excellence awards, including the 2015 President’s Outstanding Faculty Award for Teaching, the Chandler-Frates & Reitz Teaching Excellence Award in 2012 and the CBA Greiner Award for Excellence in Graduate Teaching in 1995. Her research focus is on strategic alliances among multinational firms. White is past chair of the Research Methods Interest Group of the international Strategic Management Society and current advisory member of the SMS Research Methods Community.
