'Google and Beyond' workshops help students dig deeper for research

Learn new strategies for getting best search results

 

OSU-Tulsa students can find out how to get better search results from databases and search engines during two upcoming free workshops offered by the OSU-Tulsa Library.

‘Learn Search Engines’ will be presented at 3:30- 5 p.m. on Sept. 19 and 5:30-7 p.m. on Sept. 20 in Main Hall 2323.

Participants will delve into online research and learn to use critical thought processes to obtain more valuable search results.

‘You Don’t Need Google’ will build on the first session with information about the use of more specialized search platforms and strategies and on advanced search methods required for literature reviews.

This workshop will be offered at 3:30-5 p.m. on Oct. 9 and 5:30-7 p.m. on Oct. 12 in Main Hall 2301.
