Submit FAFSA now to get priority on financial aid, scholarships

Act now to offset educational costs

To be considered for the maximum amount of financial aid and scholarships possible, current students should fill out and submit the 2018-19 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after Oct. 1.

The FAFSA is an invaluable tool for making your education more affordable. It is quick and easy to complete and can be submitted online.

“It is to your advantage to submit the FAFSA as early as you can,” said Susan Tolbart, OSU-Tulsa director of recruitment and scholarships. “If you need assistance, we are here to help.”

Eligibility for many grants and loans is only determined once a FAFSA is filed, including the Pell grant for undergraduate students.

Also, many scholarships are offered on a first-come, first-served basis so it is important to submit a FAFSA as soon as possible.

Prospective students planning to start OSU-Tulsa during the spring 2018 term should apply for admission and submit the 2017-18 FAFSA by Oct. 16 tfor scholarship consideration and to initiate the financial aid process

Many state and federal programs - including work-study, the federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) and the Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant (OTAG) - have limited funding so early application is encouraged for consideration.

Be sure to send your 2018-19 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for federal student aid for the Fall 2018 semester at OSU-Tulsa.

To submit a FAFSA, visit the Federal Student Aid website. The OSU-Tulsa Federal School Code is 003170.
