OSU-Tulsa University Police will participate in the statewide “More Cops, More Stops” campaign starting Friday.
“We’re pleased to take part in this initiative with other agencies across Oklahoma,” said OSU-Tulsa Chief of Police Melvin Murdock. “We’ll be focusing our patrols on the intersections around campus to make sure drivers are making proper stops and following traffic laws.”
The effort, which runs through Aug. 5, calls for law enforcement agencies to step up enforcement of traffic violations. Officers will increase patrols and crack down on drunken driving, seat belt violations and other traffic violations.
