Learn about ways to pay for college during OSU-Tulsa's Financial Aid Awareness Week

Think college is too expensive? Have questions about scholarships and grants? Overwhelmed about finding ways to fund your education? Financial Aid Awareness Week at Oklahoma State University – Tulsa can help.

The OSU-Tulsa Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid is hosting Financial Aid Awareness Week Nov. 5-9 to help new and returning students find solutions to fund their college degree.

“We help educate prospective and current students on the federal, state and institutional financial aid options that are available,” said Ashley Mellor, coordinator of scholarships and financial aid at OSU-Tulsa. “Securing financial aid is a vital step for many students to continue their education and we will offer them all the resources for which they are eligible to help make their college dreams a reality.”

An information table will be located in the North Hall Lobby and Main Hall Commons all week, offering guidance on scholarships and other forms of financial aid available for students.

Graduate Student Services will present information on paying for master’s and doctoral degrees at Graduate Funding on Monday, Nov. 5 in North Hall 140 at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Several graduate education funding resources will be presented, including university scholarships, external resources, grants, graduate assistantships, fellowships and graduate funding databases.

OSU-Tulsa financial aid counselors will be answering financial aid questions on Tuesday, Nov. 6 in the North Hall Lobby from 3:30-5 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 7 in Main Hall Commons from 3:30-5 p.m.

OSU Financial Aid 101 will be held Thursday, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. in North Hall 140. The presentation covers the basics of applying for federal and state aid, as well as, scholarships and tuition waivers.
