Coaches vs. Cancer Night at the Tulsa Shock

The Tulsa Chapter of the OSU Alumni Association will host the OSU Coaches vs. Cancer night with the Tulsa Shock on Tuesday, July 13. The game starts at 6 p.m. at the BOK Center. Former Cowgirl Andrea Riley will be playing.

For every ticket sold, $5 will be donated to the OSU Coaches vs. Cancer campaign and the American Cancer Society.

President Barnett to Speak at Press Club Luncheon

Howard Barnett, president of OSU-Tulsa and the OSU Center for Health Sciences, will speak at the Tulsa Press Club’s Page One luncheon on Tuesday, July 13 at 11:15 a.m.

Barnett will discuss OSU’s overall “footprint” in Tulsa, including the university’s impact on Tulsa’s economy and OSU's emerging research initiatives in Tulsa.

Recycling 101 to Offer Tips for Work and Home

GoingGreenOSU-Tulsa will host “Recycling 101” as part of its Lunch and Learn series on Wednesday, July 28 from noon to 1 p.m. in North Hall 150. Participants are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch to the event.

Michael Patton, executive director of the Tulsa-based Metropolitan Environmental Trust, will discuss the basics of recycling, including ideas and tips that can be incorporated at home and work.

Patton has organized everything from litter cleanups and Earth Day celebrations, to special collections events for phone books and household hazardous waste.
