OSUuccess contest rewards student creativity with scholarships

OSUccessWhat is your portrait of success at OSU? Students can answer this question for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship from the OSU Foundation.

Students can submit their entries through a 300-word essay, 30-second video or a captioned photograph at OSUccess.com.

The OSU Foundation will award $500 scholarships to six students and one grand prize winner will receive an additional $500 scholarship. Winners will be announced in December.

Any current OSU undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing can participate. Official rules can be found at OSUccess.com.

Free seasonal flu vaccine available for OSU-Tulsa students

The OSU-Tulsa Health Clinic will offer free flu vaccinations to OSU-Tulsa students next week.

The vaccinations will be available Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in North Hall 265. Students must present a student identification card to register and shots will be administered on a first-come, first-served basis.

SGA looking for student representatives

SGA OfficersOSU-Tulsa’s Student Government Association (SGA) is seeking student representatives for this academic year. The first meeting will be Thursday, Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m in North Hall 104. Interested students should email their names, year in school, major field of study and contact information to tulsga@okstate.edu.

Members of the SGA represent all OSU-Tulsa students and work closely with administrators, faculty and staff to provide input that may influence decisions and programs that affect students. SGA members have many opportunities to learn and demonstrate leadership and decision-making skills, as well as plan activities and events for OSU-Tulsa students.

OSU-Tulsa to host workshop for women returning to college

OSU-Tulsa will host the eighth annual “Women in Transition” college fair and workshop on Thursday, Oct. 14 for women considering a return to college.

The event is presented by the Tulsa Chapter of the American Association of University Women and will feature two identical sessions, including a morning session from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the OSU-Tulsa Conference Center and an evening session from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Tulsa Community College’s Southeast campus in the Studio Theatre. The cost is $5 for advance registration or $8 at the door.
