OSU Class Rings available Oct. 3

The Official OSU Class RingThe OSU Alumni Association will showcase the Official OSU Class Ring on Monday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the North Hall Lobby.

The ring is available to alumni and current students with 60 or more credit hours. It was designed by a group of OSU students, alumni and administrators and is the only official ring recognized by the university.

OSU in Tulsa's United Way fundraising campaign concludes tomorrow

OSU in Tulsa at United Way Day of CaringThe OSU-Tulsa and OSU Center for Health Sciences joint United Way fundraising campaign concludes Friday with a Chili Cook-off and celebration on each campus. OSU-Tulsa's event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Main Hall Commons.

Participants can sample all-you-can-eat chili with fixings and a drink for $5. Other events planned for the celebration include a cake walk and "balloon pop" game for prizes.

OSU-Tulsa faculty and staff are encouraged to volunteer to bring a pot of chili for the contest. Prizes will be awarded by a panel of guest judges in several categories, and there will be a People's Choice category. To volunteer a pot of chili for the cook-off or for more information about the event, email tulsa.unitedway@okstate.edu.

OSU in Tulsa's combined goal for the 2011 fundraising campaign is $52,011.

Cowboy Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs starts Oct. 8 at OSU-Tulsa

Cowboy Bootcamp for EntrepreneursOSU will offer its Cowboy Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs starting Saturday, Oct. 8 at OSU-Tulsa to assist aspiring entrepreneurs in creating successful, growth-oriented businesses.

The Bootcamp is a rigorous six-session program presented by the Riata Center for Entrepreneurship in the Spears School of Business. The sessions will take place every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon through Nov. 12 in OSU-Tulsa’s Conference Center.

Red Shirt Orange Friday to support troops

There’s a twist to OSU’s tradition of Orange Friday this week. OSU will celebrate the third annual Red Shirt Orange Friday in honor of the U.S. Armed Forces. Show your Cowboy spirit and wear red on Friday to support the brave men and women who ensure our freedom.
