Financial aid counselors available to help for summer, fall

Financial Aid help availableThe OSU-Tulsa Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid is reminding students they still have the opportunity to apply for financial aid for the summer and fall semesters.

“Even though the priority deadline for scholarship awards has passed, our financial aid counselors can help you determine what types of aid are available to suit your individual needs,” said Susan Tolbart, director of recruitment and student development.

Students are encouraged to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid to get the process started.

Bedlam Run to raise money for student scholarships

2012 Bedlam RunThe OSU Alumni Association’s Tulsa Chapter and OU Club of Tulsa will join forces to raise money for student scholarships during the 2012 Bedlam Run on Saturday, July 28.

The event features a 5K, 10K and Fun Run for participants of all ages. The course runs through downtown Tulsa’s Blue Dome district and the OSU-Tulsa campus, with the 5K and 10K starting at 7:30 a.m. and the Fun Run starting at 7:35 a.m.

Early registration is $25 per person and $30 per person on race day. Race day registration opens at 6:30 a.m. All registrants will receive a souvenir T-shirt while supplies last. Professional timing services are provided by Fleet Feet. Prizes will be awarded to race category winners.

Participants are encouraged to form teams to represent their favorite school in this historic in-state rivalry series.

Registration open for second annual Medsation Conference

Registration is now open for the second annual Medsation Conference at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences. Participants can register to attend the conference on either Aug. 1 or 2.

“The entire program will be repeated both days to allow clinical staff the opportunity to keep clinics open,” said Machelle Linsenmeyer, director of educational development. “One portion of the staff can attend the first day and another the second day.”
