Summer, fall enrollment begins Monday

Student waiting to enrollEnrollment for summer and fall 2013 classes at OSU-Tulsa begins Monday. Enrolling as soon as possible helps to ensure students can get the classes they need and avoid late enrollment fees.

Priority and graduate students may begin enrolling on Monday, followed by seniors, juniors and transfer students. Enrollment dates are based on the total number of earned hours and can be viewed on the enrollment schedule webpage.

All undergraduate students must meet with an advisor prior to enrolling. Students must complete an Academic Plan form before meeting with their advisor.  Undergraduate students can schedule advising appointments by calling 918-594-8271 or 918-594-8355 or by stopping by the Advising Center in North Hall 130. Graduate students may speak with a graduate coordinator by calling 918-594-8445 or visiting the Graduate Student Services Center in Main Hall 1101.

OSU-Tulsa will offer a special Walk-in Advising Day on April 10 for current undergraduate students enrolling for the summer or fall semester. Advisors will be available in North Hall 130 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2 to 6 p.m. No appointment is necessary, but students are served on a first come, first served basis. OSU-Tulsa Campus Life will also hand out free hot dogs to students from 2-6 p.m. in the Courtyard.

Students prepare for commencement with Graduation Fair

A student is fitted for her graduation regalia at the 2012 OSU-Tulsa Graduation Fair.Students planning to participate in the OSU-Tulsa Graduation Ceremony can prepare for commencement by attending OSU-Tulsa's Graduation Fair on Tuesday, March 26 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. in the North Hall Lobby.

During the fair, students can check their graduation status with Enrollment Services and complete a reservation card for the ceremony. Students can also purchase caps and gowns and other important graduation items, such as personalized announcements, class rings and diploma frames.

OSU-Tulsa Career Services will be available to offer job search advice and the OSU Alumni Association will be on hand to answer questions about membership benefits. Graduate Student Services will also have information available about OSU graduate degree programs. Graduation Fair attendees can register to win door prizes.

Spring Staff Conference focuses on relationships, creating positive atmosphere

OSU in Tulsa Human Resources will present the Spring Staff Conference, "It's All in the Details," on March 14-15 at the OSU-Tulsa Helmerich Research Center.

During the conference, participants will learn when to focus on the small things and refine the skills needed to grow relationships and create a positive work atmosphere.

Jim Whitt, founder of Purpose Unlimited, will present the keynote address about the transformational power of purpose. Other topics include customer service, conflict resolution, bullying and respect in the workplace.

Donate stuffed animals to OSU in Tulsa Staff Advisory Council

Trey Alward and Karen Castle of SAC with a donated bearOSU in Tulsa Staff Advisory Council is collecting stuffed animals for a new program, Kuddles 4 Kids, which provides toys for sick children age 6 and under at the OSU Physicians clinics.

OSU-Tulsa students, faculty and staff may donate new and gently used stuffed animals to a member of OSU in Tulsa SAC. The toys will be distributed to patients on an ongoing basis.
