Grad Finale offers alumni memberships, career services

Grad Finale for Graduates

Spring and summer graduates can visit Career Services in North Hall 130 for Grad Finale. Students can sign up for a free one-year subscription to Career Services and learn about the benefits of an OSU Alumni Association membership.

New members or those who renew their membership will receive a free T-shirt and a 16-ounce OSU alumni glass while supplies last.

New graduate memberships start at $15.  Life memberships are available for $400 until graduation day and payment plans are available. For more information, contact Austin Bowles.

OSU, Mercy finalize agreement to manage OSU Medical Center

Mercy Health and OSU Medical Authority announced an agreement on Wednesday for Mercy to manage the OSU Medical Center. Last month, OSUMA formally selected Mercy as its management partner. In the intervening weeks, OSU and Mercy worked through operational details to finalize the management agreement.

The OSU Medical Center has a unique dual role to care for the medically underserved in the region and to serve as the teaching hospital for the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. The new agreement goes into effect today.

As the semester concludes, class projects and assignments are due and it’s time to prepare for final exams. Help cut down on stress by following these tips:

  • Stay organized with a planner or to-do lists.
  • Start on projects early to avoid cramming at the last minute.
  • Avoid distractions and find a quiet place to study. Study rooms can be reserved through the library’s Circulation Desk at 918-594-8130.
  • Take short breaks to recharge mentally and physically.
  • Snack on healthy foods and stay hydrated by drinking water.
  • Exercise and try to get at least six hours of sleep each night.

Students who are feeling overwhelmed with stress or other related issues can visit the OSU-Tulsa Counseling Center. To learn more about confidential counseling services, call 918-594-8568.

Bedlam baseball tickets on sale, sold-out crowd expected

Bedlam baseball returns to ONEOK Field in downtown Tulsa on Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17. This is the first time Tulsa will host two games in the Bedlam series and tickets are almost sold-out. Contact the Tulsa Drillers box office to reserve your seats.

The No. 9 Cowboys are 31-13 this season and lead the Big 12 Conference at 13-5.  Oklahoma State won their fifth consecutive Big 12 series on April 27 with an 8-3 triumph over Texas.

The Tulsa Chapter of the OSU Alumni Association also has a select number of tickets to both games. Friday’s ticket includes entry into the annual pregame tailgate party. For more information, visit orangeconnection.org or contact the Tulsa Chapter.

OSU shuttle service temporarily unavailable during May intersession

Shuttle service between Stillwater and Tulsa on OSU's BOB, the Big Orange Bus, will be unavailable beginning Monday, May 12 during the first summer session. Service will resume Monday, June 9 at the start of the second summer session. Visit the BOB website for information about schedules and reservations.
