O-State Open Late for OSU-Tulsa students

O-State is Open Late this semester to provide prospective and current students with additional times to access academic and enrollment services at OSU-Tulsa.

On the first and third Tuesdays of the month through November, several OSU-Tulsa business offices and services will be open until 7 p.m. Admissions, advising, bursar, enrollment, financial aid and graduate student services will stay open late Sept. 15, Oct. 6 and 20 and Nov. 3 and 17.

The late hours are part of OSU-Tulsa’s effort to provide additional accessibility and convenience for Tulsa students. For additional information, call OSU-Tulsa Academic and Student Services at 918-594-8355.

Annual OSU-Tulsa writing contest open for submissions

Show your creativity by entering poetry or short stories in the ninth annual OSU-Tulsa Creative Writing Contest. The competition is open to all OSU-Tulsa students.

Poetry entries should consist of no more than three original poems and short stories may be up to 20 pages in length. The entry deadline is Nov. 20. Winners will be announced Dec. 4 and published on OSU-Tulsa’s Creative Writing Contest website.

Entry forms are available at the North Hall Information Center, North Hall 103 or online. For more information, call the Learning Services Center at 918-594-8232.

OSU-Tulsa to host sale of class rings

The OSU Alumni Association will display the official OSU Class Ring and accept orders on Monday, Sept. 28 from 3-7 p.m. in the North Hall Lobby.

Each ring is custom-made in a choice of 10, 14 or 18-karat solid yellow gold, white gold or sterling silver. The ring is available with or without diamonds or zirconia. The ring supplier, Balfour, provides an interest-free monthly installment plan.

The ring was designed by a group of students, alumni and administrators and is recognized as the only official OSU ring. The ring is available exclusively to OSU graduates and upper-class students in good standing. The deadline to order a ring to be included in the Fall 2015 ring ceremony is Oct. 9.
