Filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is quick, easy and could make your education more affordable. You can increase your chances of getting financial aid, grants and scholarships even more by applying early. The priority deadline for scholarships and financial aid is Feb. 1.

“Apply even if you think you don’t qualify. You could be pleasantly surprised,” said Susan Tolbart, director of recruitment and scholarships. “We are here to provide any assistance we can to make sure you reach your educational goals.”

If you haven’t filed your 2016 income tax returns, you can still submit a FAFSA using your 2015 taxes. Eligibility for many grants and loans is only determined once a FAFSA is filed, including the Pell grant for undergraduate students. Read more.
