Tulsa author graduates from OSU-Tulsa just before 80th birthday

Tulsa author Ann Patton graduated with her bachelor's degree from OSU-Tulsa, just weeks before turning 80 years of age.

She was honored during the ceremony on Monday by OSU-Tulsa President Howard Barnett and Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum, who was the graduation speaker. Read more and view video.

During Monday's graduation, Dr. Karina Shreffler, associate professor and graduate coordinator in human development and family science, received the President’s Outstanding Faculty Award for Research. Dr. David Gray, visiting assistant professor of American studies, was honored with the President’s Outstanding Faculty Award for Teaching. Read more and view video.

Cancer diagnosis spurs Jenks Public Schools staffer to complete degree

After a cancer diagnosis, Stephanie Moore decided to pursue her dream of earning a college degree.
