Wellness Center staff will be in the North Hall lobby between 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. for Welcome Week. Swing by the Wellness Center booth to receive a freebie, fitness studio schedule and information about the services offered.
All students and employees may use the Wellness Center for free.
Certified Healthy Departments
Every department at OSU-Tulsa has the opportunity to be recognized as a Certified Healthy Department. By becoming a Certified Healthy Department you are providing a healthy environment for faculty, staff, students and visitors Your department can provide an environment to foster healthy lifestyle choices while at work. The application process begins on Jan. 11, 2016. All applications are due by March, 11, 2016.

Walking Facts is a free program that encourages movement and health education. Each day during February a wellness team member will hide an OSU Walking Fact Sticker somewhere in North Hall or Main Hall. Each Walking Facts Sticker will have a health related fact on the back of it. Some walking stickers may be more difficult to find. Please do not take the walking sticker down! Let others find it and enjoy it.
More Matters Pledge
The obesity epidemic in America is a national health crisis. As a community, we all need to do what we can to fight and win against this epidemic. The consumption of fruits and vegetables is critical to the fight against obesity. This program gives participants the resources they need to make healthier nutrition choices. All participants will receive a pledge card, fact sheet, tips for daily fruit/vegetable consumption, kids activity sheet, and more! By participating in this program you are pledging to bring awareness of the obesity problem in America. To register for this program, please contact Jeremiah Watkins.
Spring 2016 OSU in Tulsa Health Fair

Join us for OSU-Tulsa’s biggest health event of the semester. The Spring 2016 Health Fair allows OSU students and employees to receive information and services from local and nationally recognized wellness vendors. All participants will have the opportunity to win a door prize. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Spring 2016 Fittest on Campus
Prove your fitness at the Spring 2016 OSU in Tulsa Fittest in Tulsa event. Athletes will have one hour to complete nine different physical challenges, which range in one of the following categories: max repetitions, max distance and quickest time of completion. The top three males and females will receive a prize. The top male and female from OSU-Tulsa will compete against the top male and female at the OSU-CHS campus. To register for this event, stop by the OSU-Tulsa Wellness Center and place your name on the sign-up sheet. Spaces are limited, so don’t delay!
OSU-Tulsa Professional Wellness Week
Lower your stress and take a break by dedicating time to reorganizing and decluttering your workspace. A more organized and decluttered workspace can lower your stress levels, which in turn helps help lower blood pressure, decrease headaches and prevent heart disease. To participate:

Pete’s Pet Posse Tulsa (P3T) will be present in the North Hall Lobby and Main Hall Commons from 3:45-4:45 p.m. to help students de-stress before final exams. Petting a therapy dog for as little as five minutes can alleviate a wide variety of stressors. For more information about P3T, please visit their website.
